Biography

Richard has been practicing Bankruptcy law for the past 12 years.  He started in the Bankruptcy field as an extern for Bankruptcy Judge Barry Russell in the Central District of CA during his law school days at UCLA.  He also interned in the U.S. Trustee’s office in the Central District.

Richard enjoys the problem-solving aspects of Bankruptcy and the fact that he is helping ordinary people in a difficult time in their lives.  He also loves the counseling aspect of Bankruptcy law and the feeling that he is helping people to get their lives back on track.

Richard was a law professor at Handong University School of Law in Pohang, South Korea from 2000-2002 where he taught civil procedure, criminal law, and real property. Richard also worked in the legal department of a national mortgage company for many years.

In his spare time, Richard runs a salon that focuses on current events, politics, and social issues.  He is happily married and enjoys living in charming San Francisco.  Richard speaks fluent Korean.
