How is a debtor notified when his or her discharge has been granted?

Usually by mail. Most courts send a form eared "Discharge of Debtor" to the debtor and to all creditors. This form is a copy of the court order discharging the debtor from his or her dischargeable debts, and it serves as notice that the debtor's discharge has been granted. It is usually mailed about three months after a chapter 7 case is filed.
